GEN 1.5 AIRCRAFT INSTRUMENTS, EQUIPMENT AND FLIGHT DOCUMENTS

1.5.1 GENERAL

Civil aircraft operating in Taipei FIR must adhere to the provisions of ICAO Annex 6 - Operating of Aircraft, Part 1, Chapter 6 (Aeroplane Instrument, Equipment and Flight Documents) and Chapter 7 (Aeroplane Communication and Navigation Equipment).

1.5.2 SPECIAL EQUIPMENT TO BE CARRIED

Unless otherwise authorized by the CAA or ROCAF, all aircraft flying in the Taipei FIR are required with an operable improved radar beacon transponder having a combined Mode 3/A, 4096 code capability, and a Mode C automated altitude reporting capability, or having a Mode S transponder.
